Matcha Tea vs. Green Tea Benefits

Matcha Tea vs. Green Tea Benefits

When you are considering switching to drinking Matcha tea, or maybe even green tea, there are many health benefits that you can get from it. Whether you need the health benefits or just want to seem cool at the gym, drinking matcha tea can be a great way to up your game in many different ways. Here are a few of the benefits that you can get when you switch from drinking regular old tea to drinking Matcha and/or green tea.

Better Memory

Caffeine is known to be good for your memory, and the best kind of caffeine is found in coffee. However, with most people consuming 300-500 milligrams of caffeine per day, combined with the fact that most people don’t eat enough vegetables and fruit to get the amounts of antioxidants they need, they end up getting more out of caffeinated soda than they do out of their daily cup o’jojos.

The magic number for how much Caffeine is healthy for you is 80mg, and that amount can be found in roughly two ounces of green tea. For comparison, one cup of coffee has around 100mg of caffeine and a quarter pounder has roughly 200mg of caffeine. So yes, you can have plenty of memories if you drink enough green tea!

Calms You Down

If you are like me and sometimes have trouble calming down after drinking too much alcohol, then using Matcha or green tea to calm your nerves is a great idea. The L-theanine found in Matcha gives your body the same effects as serotonin giving (or taking) that will help ease any worried minds and help you to get over your drunkness quickly. If you haven’t already tried it, I highly recommend trying it out!

Lowers Cholesterol and Triglycerides

Both green and matcha teas are high in antioxidants called polyphenols which are very good at lowering triglycerides and increasing HDL (the good cholesterol) in your blood stream. These actions will improve your overall health and could potentially delay or even prevent heart disease from happening. Of course life isn’t standing still waiting for someone to get heart disease so just because you have high cholesterol doesn’t mean that you should stop exercising or eat unhealthy foods, but having this awareness raised in your mind is a great thing and something that everyone should try at least once!

How To Brew Your Own Matcha Tea

Making your own matc haea isn’t too difficult but allows you to control every aspect of the recipe right? Wrong! There’s still room for improvement on our home-made matcha industry YET ! With just a little bit of preparation before cooking, we can bring out the best flavors in our homemade matcha products.

Buying Empty Tea Bags

Before we get started on making our own matcha tea bags, we need to buy some empty tea bags first. An easy way to find these is by going onto eBay and searching for “empty teabag”. You should only need about 50 cents worth if you plan on making a lot of bags (which is what I do). Other than that it costs too much money to send them through the manufacturing process anyway. Once I have my bagged teas I proceed with making my own teabags.

Making Your Own Teabags

Teabagging isn’t too difficult once you get the hang of it. It takes roughly five minutes per bag if you just pick up how to do it casually. Here we go…

Fill Up A Large Pot With Water Then Bring It To A boil Over High Heat Put One Scoop Of Greens In The Pot Once The Water Has Come To A Boil Remove From Heat And Let The Greens Dry (this takes About ten Minutes) Line Your Bags With A Unscented Cloth (these tend To Make The Tea taste Better) Put As Many Clothespins As You Can Handle On Top Of The Green Bag Then Put The Teabag In The Clothespin Repeat This Process Until You Run Out Of Teabag water OR Have Enough Teabags For Youself/Company Don’t Be Afraid To Add More Ingredients If You Like Things Flavored Or Scented! Some People Totally Rely On This Stuff And Claim That They Can Finally Sniff Out What They Want Using This Technique Try It Out And Becca Me Right Now If It Works For You!! 😉

As I mentioned before, this isn’t too difficult once you get used to doing it yourself; however, if all you ever do is brew yourself waseisha then porridge for breakfast might not be the best choice possible for YOURSELF! There are tons of things that we can learn just from reading other people’s recipes and trying out new things out ourselves is one way that we can learn about what works best for us! Maybe you won’t like making teabags or maybe you will love making teabags so much that you will want to start selling them on eBay 😀 ! Either way, there is always something new that we can learn about ourselves by simply learning how to properly cook/make things ourselves!
